UK rail trip – 2022
Days 15 & 16 – 17th & 18th April, 2022
I had been travelling for a straight 14 days, so I decided to take a couple of days off and do nothing. 🙂 The most adventurous thing I did was to take a little walk down to a road crossing of the River Goyt, which passes through Stockport. The return trip took about half an hour.
As my visit was over Easter, there was a small get together with my hosts Steve & Christine. There was plenty of food and a lot of talking. And there were suggestions as to where I should go visit during my time in the UK. I did decide that I’d visit York for the National Railway Museum. It’s been almost 20 years since I was last there.
I also started watching episodes of season 2 of Star Trek: Picard. Not a bad show at all! But I couldn’t stay put for too long. I decided it’s time to move on and make the best out of my BritRail Pass. I would be continuing my travels on the 19th. It was a fantastic two days rest. And I had fantastic hosts in Steve & Christina. Thanks for the hospitality, guys!
