Cycle Against the Beast, 2019

The following map shows my route from Sydney to Melbourne, forming my 2019 Cycle Against the Beast ride for FightMND. The plan is to start from the Sydney Cricket Ground, head up and over the Blue Mountains, and out to central west New South Wales. From there, it’s down through to Cootamundra (the birthplace of the great Sir Donald Bradman), and down to Albury. The route then passes through Bendigo, Ballarat, the Grampians, Warrnambool, and then along the Great Ocean Road to Geelong, and finally finishing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Unfortunately, the ride was abandoned on day 5 due to knee issues. However, I’m already planning a much shorter, week-long (500 km), ride in August or September next year.
